Giara

The Giara is a simple flower vase inspired by the minimal forms of the Fris pottery tradition. The two tones used in the separate materials give the vase a random amount of colouration that enhances its curvatures and organic base shape. 

Each vase is treated differently, with the relationship between the colours being an act of randomness, provoking a natural way to make each vase unique while using the same primary form. 

The material in which the Giara is printed, PLA infused with Elephant grass, gives it a feeling of being made with genuinely coarse ceramics like the traditional pottery would feel.
